Borax Reveiw & Giveaway!

Thanks to Purex Insiders I was given the chance try out 20 Mule Team Borax, I have never heard of Borax before so I was excited to see what it was about when I received it.

Some info about Borax:

Borax is the common name for sodium tetraborate: a naturally occurring substance produced by the repeated evaporation of seasonal lakes.

20 Mule Team® Borax is 100% natural, and 99.5% pure (there is about a half of 1% of naturally occurring trace minerals). Once removed from the ground it is washed, dried, and boxed for consumers.

In earlier times, borax was proclaimed to be a magical crystal that was used to aid digestion, keep milk sweet and even cure epilepsy. Common sense and modern technology have brought us better solutions to these and other problems, but 20 Mule Team Borax still has a place in your home.

20 Mule Team Borax comes from California where one of the world’s largest deposits was discovered in 1913.

Absolutely nothing is added. No phosphates, per-oxside, chlorine, or other additive chemicals.

When I first received Borax I was not sure what I wanted to use this product for as I had searched online and found a lot of different uses, but I decided to go with using it as a laundry booster to start off. I added a half cup of Borax along with my normal laundry detergent, after my clothes were done they came out smelling and looking cleaner than usual, including my boyfriends dirty work clothes. After seeing how well Borax did with my wash I decided to clean my counters with Borax, which also did a great job, my counters were very clean, and stains came off easily. One thing I am planning on using my Borax for in the spring is to kill ants, I read online you can sprinkle Borax on your carpet then vacuum it up the next day and it will get rid of ants...which I have a big problem with during the summer so I really hope this will work :)

Overall I think Borax works great, I have never heard of this product before this month and now it is a product I will continue to use. With so many uses in one product, it is great for everyone!
